DESCRIPTION:”’ Please note the change in the venue***\nSchools are invited to take part in our Key Stage 1 – Sportshall Athletics Competition. \nEVENT OVERVIEW\nDate: Wednesday 14th January\nTimes: 9.30– 12.00\nSportshall at Barnwood Park\n\nTHE TEAMS\nThis competition is open to boys and girls in years 1 and 2.\nSquads: MiXED TEAS OF 10\, 5 BOYS AND 5 GIRLS. \nEVENT LEAD \nGSSN staff with the running of the event with the support of The Crypt School Sport leaders. \nEVENT FORMAT \nSportshall Primary provides the ideal format in which to introduce young people to grassroots athletics and multi-skills competition in a fun team based format.   \nAll children will take part in each of the following field events\, this will be on a carousel rotation: \n1. Push pass\n2. Soft Javelin Throw\n3. Standing Long Jump\n4. Triple Jump\n5. Tunnels\n6. Speed Bounce\n7. High Stepper\n8. Vertical Jump\n9. Hurdles\n10. Relay passing\nFollowing this\, there will be a series of obstacle relay races\, each with 5 boys and 5 girls. \nPlease email bh@gsn.o.uk to send along a team.

DESCRIPTION:County Cross Country Squad training sessions (all 14.00-15.00) \nAll sessions will take place at Plock Court – meeting at the Pavilion next to the University Sports Arena.
