DESCRIPTION:We are proud to launch our new partnership with the Gloucester City basketball with two new events for this year’s calendar. \nGirls Only: Thurs 18th September\nBoys Only: Thurs 16th October   \nBoth will run from 9.45 – 12.00 at Sir Thomas Rich’s School.\nTHE TEAMS\nThis event for boys and girls in years 4 to 6.\nEach school can bring along a squad of up to 10 players\, with 5 in each team to play the tournament. \nEVENT LEAD\nSir Thomas Rich’s School and their Sport Leaders will be supporting the GSSN with the running of this event. \nEVENT FORMAT\n9.45 Schools arrive\n10.00—11.00 Basketball skills and drills to include: \nDribbling and passing\nReceiving and shooting (set and layup shots)\nOne on one marking\nBasic zone defence formation \n11.00—12.00 5 a-side games in a round robin format (number of teams dependent). \nSchools wanting to send teams to these events\, email bh@gssn.co.uk
