DESCRIPTION:All Gloucester Primary Schools are invited to participate in a fun Cricket Festival at Sir Thomas Rich’s School on Thursday\, 30th April\, from 10.00 – 12.00.\nThis is part of a series of 3 events in collaboration with The Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation led by Sir Thomas Rich’s School Sport leaders. \nThe Teams\nThis event is open to KS2 teams of 10 children – mixed ( boys and girls). \nEvent Lead\nGloucestershire Cricket Foundation supported by Sir Thomas Rich’s School Sports Leaders and GSSN staff will be leading the event. \nEvent Format\nThis will be a skills drill practice session followed by small-sided indoor cricket games.\nIt is a participation event\, not a competition. \nShould you wish to bring along a team\, please email bh@gssn.o.uk

SUMMARY:KS2 & SEND GOLF FESTIVAL AT HARTPURY COLLEGE
DESCRIPTION:EVENT LEAD\nThe GSSN staff will support Hartpury Golf Academy\, Gloucestershire Golf Partnership and the Golf Foundation. \nEVENT OVERVIEW\nTuesday\, 5th May\nAM Session – 10.00-12.00\nPM Session – 12.30-14.30  \nTHE TEAMS\nMixed teams of 10 KS2 pupils and the same for SEND event.\nSEND events are aimed specifically at SEND students. There is an expectation that participants DO NOT compete for the school in any other non-SEND linked sport. The emphasis should be on encouraging participation for ALL young people\, particularly those that do not usually get an opportunity to represent their school.  \nEVENT FORMAT\nThe teams will move around a skills circuit scoring points which will be accumulated to decide final finishing positions.  \nUnleash Your Drive – The National Primary Schools Golf Programme\nOur ambition is to help change the face of mental wellbeing in schools\, by introducing golf to children from all backgrounds.\nUnleash Your Drive is a comprehensive programme that can be delivered over six weeks by any teacher thanks to our easy to follow printed and digital resources\, specially adapted Golfway kit and our built-in evaluation tool. \nUsing adapted golf equipment\, training for teachers and coaches\, and lesson plans focused around developing 9 specific mental toughness tools\, the Golf Foundation is able to deliver the life skills to all young people The programme will introduce children to the basics of the game through fun\, engaging team-based games involving chipping and putting activities.   \nFor more information contact -email Tom Sparks on tom@golf-foundation.org \nShould you wish to register a team/s\, please reply to this email and include the name of the member of staff who will be attending the event.

DESCRIPTION:All schools are invited to bring along a group of children to perform a wither a dance or an additional performing arts acts.\nThere are no limitations on the number of pupils and/or groups each school can bring. Due to the popularity of the Festival\, we will host 2 shows:\nWednesday 15th july & Thurs 16th July\, both at Ribston Hall High School. \nThis Festival will provide a fantastic opportunity for your pupils to experience the excitement of preparing for a stage show and then being given a ‘performance platform’. \nThe Festival Format\n16.00 School dance groups arrive. Briefing and rehearsal on stage with music and lights\n18.00 Doors open for tickets sales – refreshments available\n18.30 Start of show\nThe end of the show is to be confirmed depending on the number of acts (approximate time 19.30 / 19.45) \nTickets\nThis is a cash only event.\nSchools to let us know how many approximate tickets are required for family and/or friends/other spectators.\nThere will be no advance selling of tickets – all spectators are to purchase their tickets at the door at 18.00 before the show starts at 18.30.\nCost of the tickets (this has remained unchanged since 2011):\nPLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO ARD PAYMENT FACILITIES – CASH ONLY. \nAdults £5.00 (16 or over)\nChild £2.50\nFamily of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) £13.00 \n·Programmes will be available at the door free of charge. \nSchools wishing to take part\, please email bh@gssn.co.uk
