DESCRIPTION:All Schools are invited to take part in our Primary Rounders Tournament which will be taking place at the Lansdown Road school field of Denmark Road High School. \nTHE TEAMS\nBoth tournaments are for boys and girls in Years 5 and 6 (small schools can use Year 4 students if required).\nTotal squad 12 players.\nEach team must have no more than 9 players on the field\, with at least 4 girls playing at any one time.\nA B team competition will run alongside the main competition. SUMMARY:EAL / LOW CONFIDENCE TARGET GROUPS  TEAM BUILDING FESTIVAL
DESCRIPTION:All schools are invited to our first EAL / Low confidence target group – Team Building Festival. \nWe will run two sessions\, a Key Stage 1 in the morning and a Key Stage 2 in the afternoon.\nAM Session: 9.30—11.30\nPM Session: 12.00—14.00 \nTHE TEAMS\nThis event is specially designed for your EAL and low-confidence pupils. Teams are made of up to 10 children\, mixed boys and girls.\nOpen to pupils across all Key Stages. Ideally a group of 10 ‘least active’ pupils that have never had the opportunity to represent the school in more traditional sports.\nWe can offer up to 7 school groups per session with a maximum of 10 pupils per group.  \nEVENT LEAD\nLive Life Adventure\, the organisation behind The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award\nand expeditions is supporting the GSSN with the running of this event.\nTheir team of experienced and enthusiastic staff will be delivering an event like no other. \nEVENT FORMAT\nIt will involve a series of team-building activities that will encourage and support pupils’ ability to communicate and work alongside each other. Example of activities:\n– Negotiate your way through a giant spider’s web.\n– Make fire and toast marshmallows.\n– Fly on a magic carpet.\n– Bomber man puzzle.\n– Build and launch your own rocket. \nShould you wish to attend please email bh@gssn.co.uk
