DESCRIPTION:EVENT LEAD\nThe GSSN staff will support Hartpury Golf Academy\, Gloucestershire Golf Partnership and the Golf Foundation. \nEVENT OVERVIEW\nTuesday\, 5th May\nAM Session – 10.00-12.00\nPM Session – 12.30-14.30  \nTHE TEAMS\nMixed teams of 10 KS2 pupils and the same for SEND event.\nSEND events are aimed specifically at SEND students. There is an expectation that participants DO NOT compete for the school in any other non-SEND linked sport. The emphasis should be on encouraging participation for ALL young people\, particularly those that do not usually get an opportunity to represent their school.  \nEVENT FORMAT\nThe teams will move around a skills circuit scoring points which will be accumulated to decide final finishing positions.  \nUnleash Your Drive – The National Primary Schools Golf Programme\nOur ambition is to help change the face of mental wellbeing in schools\, by introducing golf to children from all backgrounds.\nUnleash Your Drive is a comprehensive programme that can be delivered over six weeks by any teacher thanks to our easy to follow printed and digital resources\, specially adapted Golfway kit and our built-in evaluation tool. \nUsing adapted golf equipment\, training for teachers and coaches\, and lesson plans focused around developing 9 specific mental toughness tools\, the Golf Foundation is able to deliver the life skills to all young people The programme will introduce children to the basics of the game through fun\, engaging team-based games involving chipping and putting activities.   \nFor more information contact -email Tom Sparks on tom@golf-foundation.org \nShould you wish to register a team/s\, please reply to this email and include the name of the member of staff who will be attending the event.

DESCRIPTION:QuadKids is a Primary age athletics concept adapted into 4 events creating a suitable stepping stone into Track & Field. \nTHE TEAMS\nPre-Start Years 1/2:  Teams must consist of a minimum of 4 boys and 4 girls (8)\, and a maximum of 5 boys and 5 girls (10) – the top 4 athletes making up the final score. Each individual will compete in all 5 events.\nStart Year 3/4: Teams must consist of a minimum of 4 boys and 4 girls (8) and a maximum of 5 boys and 5 girls (10)-the top 8 male and female athletes making up the final score.\nEach individual will compete in all 5 events. \nEVENT LEAD \nThe Crypt School Sport Leaders are supporting the GSSN with the running of the QuadKids Athletics Competitions. \nEVENT FORMAT \nYear’s 3/4 disciplines: 50 meters sprint\, 400 meters run\, Mini-Vortex howler throw Standing Long Jump and 50 meters Shuttle relay. \nFor further information and downloadable resources please visit http://www.quadkids.org/Schools
