DESCRIPTION:GLOUCESTER PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ SWIMMING GALA 2026- LARGE SCHOOLS’ COMPETITION \nEmail bh@gssn.co.uk to register a team and request a team sheet. \nEVENT FORMAT \n9.30 Schools arrive Finish by 13.30. \nAll age groups will compete in the following races\, with Year 2/3 taking place over 10 meters and Year 4/5 and open age races over 25 meters.\n Freestyle\n Breaststroke\n Backstroke\n Relays \nTHE TEAMS\nYears 2/3\, 4/5 and open-age races (any year).\nIndividual races: 2 boys and 2 girls swimmers per race per school team.\nRelays: 4 boys and 4 girls swimmers per race per school team.\nThe maximum number of races any one swimmer can take part in is 2 individual\nraces plus 1 team relay. \nChildren should bring T-shirts\, towels\, and a light snack and drink. We will be using the multi-change area and therefore each child will need a £1 coin for the locker. \nEVENT LEAD \nThe GSSN with the support of Secondary School Sports Leaders will be running the Primary Schools’ Swimming Galas for small and large schools.
