DESCRIPTION:All Gloucester Primary Schools are invited to participate in a fun Cricket Festival.\nThis is part of a series of 3 events in collaboration with The Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation led by Sir Thomas Rich’s School Sport leaders. \nEVENT OVERVIEW\nKS1 Wednesday  3rd February\nKS2 Thursday 29th April\nBoth 10.00 –12.00 \nThe Teams\nThis event is open to Key Stage 2. Teams of 10 children – mixed boys and girls. \nEVENT FORMAT\nThe KS2 Outdoor Cricket Festival is designed to provide pupils with the opportunity to further develop their cricket skills through a mixture of skill-based activities and fun game play. The event will begin with a carousel of cricket skill stations focusing on batting technique\, bowling control and accuracy\, fielding skills\, catching and throwing and communication and teamwork. Following the activity circuit\, teams will take part in a series of small-sided participation games\, giving pupils the opportunity to apply their skills within match situations.  \nShould you wish to bring along a team\, please email bh@gssn.o.uk

DESCRIPTION:All our affiliated schools are invited to take part in our ever popular – Years 1/2 Benchball Tournament. \nPlease note that this is one of three events we are running this academic yea: \n18th November – Grange Primary\n19th November – Dinglewell Infant\n12th July  – Longford Park Primary Academy\nAll 9.30 –11.30 \nTHE TEAMS\nThis competition is for boys and girls in Years 1 and 2.\nSquad of 10 with 8 players on the court and any one time.\nEVENT LEAD \nThe GSSN staff will be leading this event with the support of Dinglewell Infant School staff.\nEVENT FORMAT \nThe overall length of the event will be 2 hours\, with games of 5 minutes long.\nAll competitors will receive a certificate with medals being awarded to the top three placed schools.  \nTo register a team/s email bh@gssn.co.uk
