KS1 BEAN BAG ROUNDERS FESTIVAL

KS1 BEAN BAG ROUNDERS FESTIVAL

Event Lead
Leigh Mayne, PE Lead at Dinglewell Infant School is supporting the GSSN with the running of the Festival.

The Teams
This competition is for boys and girls in KS1.
Teams will be made up of 6 children (can be a mix of boys and girls).
There is no limit in the amount of teams each school can enter.

Event Rules:
One team fielding
One team throwing
From standing in a hoop, the first child throws all the bean bags as far as they can .
Once the last bean bag has been thrown they set off to run around all the cones to score a rounder (no stopping on bases).
The fielders can start to collect the bean bags once the last one is thrown and must get them all back in the hoop before the runner gets around to score a rounder.

A rounder is scored when the thrower makes it around all the cones before the bean bags get back to the start.

Then the next batter/thrower has a go and once all six in the team have thrown the teams swap over.

Scoring:
Teachers will take note of their individual school scores however they will not be recorded towards a final competition as this is a participation and fun event.
