Event Lead
The Panathlon Challenge team is supporting the GSSN with the running of the event.

The Teams
This competition is for boys and girls from KS2, all of whom have a Special Educational Need or Disability.
Teams must be mixed and consist of 8 young people.

All participants will be supplied with a Panathlon Challenge t-shirt to compete in and keep – these will all be a different colour to represent their school team.

SEND competitions are aimed specifically at SEND students. There is an expectation that participants DO NOT compete for the school in any other non-SEND linked sport.  The emphasis should be on encouraging competition for ALL young people particularly those that do not usually get an opportunity to represent their school.

Festival Format
This event is a series of skills stations based on inclusive sports such as Boccia, New Age Kurling, Football, and Table Cricket. Others include activities that are aimed at developing key fundamentals such as running, jumping, throwing and target-based games.

Each team must collect points from each activity station. Specific Panathlon Challenge Medals will be awarded for 1st Gold, 2nd Silver and 3rd Bronze (overall team). There are also participation medals for teams in 4th, 5th, and 6th... etc.
