KS2 CRICKET FESTIVAL

All Gloucester Primary Schools are invited to participate in a fun Cricket Festival.
This is part of a series of 3 events in collaboration with The Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation led by Sir Thomas Rich’s School Sport leaders.

KS2 Thursday 29th April
Both 10.00 –12.00

The Teams
This event is open to Key Stage 2. Teams of 10 children – mixed boys and girls.

EVENT FORMAT
The KS2 Outdoor Cricket Festival is designed to provide pupils with the opportunity to further develop their cricket skills through a mixture of skill-based activities and fun game play. The event will begin with a carousel of cricket skill stations focusing on batting technique, bowling control and accuracy, fielding skills, catching and throwing and communication and teamwork. Following the activity circuit, teams will take part in a series of small-sided participation games, giving pupils the opportunity to apply their skills within match situations.
